Nearside

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Nearside. By creating an account you agree to them.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

Nearside is operated by Nearside ("we", "us"). These terms are a contract between you and us. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

1. What the service does

Nearside helps you find companies, researches them, and prepares personalised outreach emails. Where you connect your own inbox, we can also send those emails and check for replies on your behalf. Emails are sent from your own email account and are your communications — you are responsible for their content and for how you use them.

2. Eligibility & your account

  • You must be able to form a binding contract and provide accurate account details.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
  • You must have the right to use any inbox you connect for sending.

3. Plans, credits & payment

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Each plan includes a weekly allowance of email generation credits, which reset every seven days; sending itself is not separately metered. Prices are shown on our pricing page. You can cancel at any time — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Nearside to:

  • send spam, bulk unsolicited mail at scale, harassing, deceptive or misleading messages;
  • contact people who have asked you not to, or ignore opt-out requests;
  • send anything unlawful, defamatory, or infringing someone's rights;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are;
  • break the terms of your email provider, or any applicable law including UK PECR and data-protection law.

Nearside is built for genuine, personal, low-volume outreach. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used to spam or otherwise breach these terms.

5. Your responsibility for outreach

You are the sender of every email. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your outreach (including electronic-marketing and data-protection rules) and for honouring any request from a recipient to stop contacting them.

6. Intellectual property

We own the Nearside software and brand. You own your own content — your profile, your CV, and the emails you send. You grant us the limited permission needed to process that content in order to provide the service.

7. No guarantee of results

We help you reach out well, but we can't promise replies, interviews or internships — those depend on many things outside our control. The service is provided "as is" and "as available".

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

9. Changes & termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified where appropriate and the date above revised. You may stop using the service at any time; we may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction. Questions? Email hello@getnearside.co.uk.
